Book of Haggai
The prophet Haggai gave a series of messages to his beloved, yet spoiled people beginning in 520 B.C. His message – to focus on God and not wealth. You see, the nation of Israel had become rich, and were living in the lap of luxury, yet they were too busy to finish working on the temple which needed repair. The people had lost focus on the Lord’s work and were distracted by their wealth and personal activities. This brief but relevant book called the people of Israel to renovate their hearts and finish the temple for God’s glory. In this sermon series Pastor Ken Burge shows us that we can learn the importance of putting God first in all we do, and not make the same mistakes the Israelite made in the book of Haggai.
