Book of Jonah
Jonah was a prophet with major issues who needed a change of heart. He was a proud nationalist and had racist tendencies towards those who were enemies of the Jewish nation – his nation. However, God wanted to teach Jonah the importance of mercy, so God sent Him to the wicked city of Nineveh (550 miles N.E.) to preach! Jonah had to wrestle between what he thought was right and what God asked him to do. Jonah had to learn that God’s ways were not always his ways. Pastor Ken Burge shows us that this book is relevant for all of us today who struggle with denying our prejudice for the sake of God’s glory.
